Due to dependence on single-crop-cultivation, health and economic conditions suffered heavily. Adivasi tribal women were financially dependent, had low self-esteem, and low confidence, suffering from malnourishment and when faced with health issues they couldn’t afford the right treatment.

Promoting Traditional Skills

Different training sessions were conducted on traditional activities like making pickles and papads vegetable cultivation, floriculture, backyard poultry, and animal husbandry.

    Utilizing Local Produce

    Most small-scale businesses are designed keeping in mind the local produce which is sustainable for the community. The villagers are encouraged to grow local and eat local and for this, the use of indigenous seeds is promoted. To ensure maximum sustainability with minimal external input they are encouraged and trained to switch to traditional farming and processing methods. 

    Sharing and Sale of Surplus Produce

    Through sustainable agriculture methods, the villagers are generating surplus produce. Training is provided on processing, packaging, and pricing for the sale of surplus in local and urban markets.
